Arts and Crafts for kids

Kids are explorers, and i've yet to meet a child who doesn't love craft time. Here are some ideas of crafts you can do with your child, from the items in your own home.


Maraca's:
What you will need:
-Any size water bottle
-Funnel (optional)
-Rice or beans
-A stick (popsicle,shiskabob, or a pencil)
-Tape

Directions:
Place newspaper, a placemat, or anything else to make clean up easier.
If you have a funnel use that to help guide in the rice or beans into the water bottle.
Once this is full cut a slit into the water bottles cap.
Insert the stick, and tape or hot glue it in place.

You now have a maraca, and are able to let your child decorate the maraca with anything that their little hearts desire. Go crazy creative with it, and have fun listening to your child make music. Great way to recycle too.
